Men's Cross Country Races 10k at NCAA Southeast Regionals

ANCHORAGE, Ky. - For the second meet in a row, Owen Drometer paced the Wildcats, crossing the finish line first for Davidson at the NCAA Southeast Regional, hosted by the University of Kentucky at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park on Saturday. 
 
After starting in 98th place again led the 'Cats along the 10,000-meter course Friday. The Medfield, Mass. native entered the chute in 31:26.2, 90th overall out of 222 finishers. 
 
Davidson registered 535 points to place 18th out of 30 teams. Wake Forest won the regional title with 47 points, followed by Furman with 66 points and fellow in state foes, North Carolina (99), North Carolina State (138), Charlotte (164) and Duke (167) rounding out the top six teams.   

Next to finish the 10k course was junior Joe dos Reis in 31:52.8. Freshman Charlie Siebert stopped the clock at 31:54.4 followed by Ben Gordon-Sniffen (32:10.9) and Jay Shanahan (32:21.1).
