THE SERIES
Davidson trail the Camels all-time, 4-6, despite winning the first three meetings from 2008-10. The two played the first 10 seasons after Campbell reinstated its football program in 2008 as members of the Pioneer Football League. Campbell rides a five-game win streak over the 'Cats into Saturday's non-conference clash. The Camels joined the Big South last season. Davidson is 3-2 all-time in Buies Creek.

LAST TIME OUT

Davidson (3-0) blanked West Virginia Wesleyan last Saturday at Richardson Stadium, 41-0. Sophomore slot Eli Turner Jr. recorded 124 all-purpose yards, 110 on the ground, and scored a pair of touchdowns (1 rush, 1 receiving). It was the first multi-touchdown game of his career. The Wildcat defense posted 13.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. Senior defensive tackle Bryce Perry-Martin and junior Steven Wolfe had two apiece, while sophomore defensive end Chibuike Odo recorded one for the second consecutive week. Senior corner back Rayshawn McCall intercepted a pass for the second straight week, while linebacker classmate Stephen Shank got his first of the season. Davidson registered a season-high 357 yards on the ground. Freshman placekicker Caden Bonoffski converted on all five his extra points and went 2 for 2 on field goal attempts, including a season-best 35 yard make.

IN THE NEWS

SCOUTING THE CAMELSCampbell (1-1) has had two weeks to prepare for the 'Cats after an off date Saturday, Sep. 14. The Camels opened the season with a 43-14 loss at FBS Troy and bounced back with a 38-14 win over Shaw at Barker-Lane Stadium the following week. Hajj-Malik Williams has started both games under center, throwing for 340 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Wide out Caleb Snead was the beneficiary of three of the those TDs, while tailback Jonathan Hawkins has rushed for another two. Justice Galloway-Velezquez has been a force for the Camel defense in two games, leading the way with 17 tackles, 1.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks and an interception.
