THE SERIES
Through 12 games in a series that dates back to 2003, the Wildcats and Bulldogs enter tied at six wins apiece. Davidson won the first five meetings before Butler rattled off all six of their victories in the series between 2009-16. The 'Cats 2018 season-ending win over Butler snapped the six-game losing streak to the Bulldogs and clinched the squads first winning season since 2007. Saturday marks Davidson's first trip to Butler since 2015.

LAST TIME OUT

Davidson bounced back with a win over Valparaiso at home, 27-21. Junior running back Wesley Dugger and senior back Jorell Story each found the end zone twice in the winning effort. Senior linebacker George Hatalowich intercepted a pass with under a minute to play to seal the victory and led the team in tackles, earning the league's Defensive Player of the Week honors. Filling in at corner back for the second straight game, freshman cornerback Kaedon Jenkins intercepted his first career pass against the Crusaders.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Butler (2-7, 1-4 PFL) hosts the 'Cats following a 37-27 loss at Marist. The Bulldogs opened the season against defending FCS Champion and nationally ranked number one North Dakota State at Target Field in Minnesota. Nick Orlando is expected to line up under center for the Bulldogs and leads the team with seven rushing touchdowns. Also expect to see a heavy dose of running back Brad Sznajder. Sznajder leads the team with 658 rush yards to go along with three touchdowns. Defensively, Preseason All-PFL linebacker Luke Sennett leads the way with 74 tackles, while fellow preseason pick and linebacker mate, Mason Brunner, boasts 69 stops.
