DAVIDSON, N.C. - With the threat of Hurricane Florence on the Carolinas, Davidson football's contest with Guilford was moved up to Thursday, Sep. 13. Kick-off from Richardson Stadium is slated for 7 p.m.

Davidson leads the all-time series record, 22-9-1, dating back to the first meeting in 1900. The 'Cats have won four of the last five contests including the last three. The two squared off last season for the first time since 1999 with host Davidson doubling up the Quakers, 42-21.
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
The 'Cats last played a Thursday night game on Sep. 2, 1999, the season opener at Morehead State. Davidson will look to reverse the outcome as the Eagles blanked the Wildcats, 40-0.
LAST TIME OUT
Davidson rattled off 28 straight points in the first half of a 49-28 drubbing of Chowan last Saturday. Junior slot receiver William Wicks rushed 9 times for 132 yards and 3 touchdowns, while sophomore Wesley Dugger recorded 153 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown. The Wildcat defense made 5 sacks of Chowan quarterback Bryce Witt, while Tony Collins the led the team with 7 tackles.Â

Davidson leads the NCAA FCS in passes intercepted with 5. Freshman safety Dreylan Hines leads the squad with 2, while Nathan Campbell, Harrison Hill and Rayshawn McCall each have 1.
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
Guilford recorded 618 yards of total offense, 414 of those coming on the ground in a season opening drubbing of Methodist, 61-35. 2017 D3Football.com All-American running back De'Eric Bell rushed for 225 yards and 5 touchdowns in the winning effort. Bell and linebacker Jarrod Russ swept the ODACÂ Player of the Week honors on Monday.Â
