DAVIDSON, N.C. – Jack Gibbs paced four Davidson players in double figures with a game-high 35 points and the Wildcats used a late run to hand league-leading Saint Joseph's its first road loss of the season, 99-93, Saturday at Belk Arena.

Gibbs, who missed Tuesday's win over Richmond with an illness, finished 11-of-18 from the floor, drilled five 3-pointers and went 8-of-9 from the charity stripe en route to his ninth 30-point effort of the season.

Nathan Ekwu added a career-high 18 points and 8 rebounds, while knocking down 10-of-14 attempts at the line. Peyton Aldridge and Oskar Michelsen also finished in double digits for the Wildcats with 15 and 10, respectively.

Trailing 79-75 with just over seven minutes to play, Davidson (16-9, 8-6 A-10) used a 16-4 run to take its largest lead of the contest, 91-83, with 1:19 to play.

Saint Joseph's (22-5, 11-3 A-10) cut the deficit to 93-91 with 22 ticks left, but were unable to inch closer as the Wildcats made all six of their free throws in the closing seconds.

Isaiah Miles led the Hawks with 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting. Fellow starters DeAndre' Bembry (19), Shavor Newkirk (13) and Aaron Brown (12) also went over the 10-point plateau for Saint Joseph's, which entered 9-0 in road games.

Both teams shot better than 56 percent in a game that featured 10 ties and 13 lead changes. The Wildcats drilled 10-of-21 from long range and finished the contest 29-of-38 at the free-throw line.

Saint Joseph's closed the first half on an 11-4 spurt to take a 48-43 lead into the break.

In addition to the two teams combining to shoot 59.6 percent in the opening 20 minutes, both Gibbs and Miles scored 19 points in the period for their respective squads.

Davidson held a 33-26 advantage on the glass.
