-- Davidson enters the 2016 Tire Pros Invitational 1-0 following an 86-74 win over Appalachian State.
-- The Wildcats will play seven of their next eight contests away from home beginning with an 11 a.m. tip against Clemson in the opening round of the Tire Pros Invitational.
-- Davidson is 2-1 all-time at HP Field House. The 'Cats recorded wins over Vanderbilt (11/22) and West Virginia (11/23) before falling to then-No. 17 Gonzaga (11/25) in the Championship of the 2012 Old Spice Classic.

2016-17 Preseason Notes
-- The 2016-17 season marks the 109th in the history of Davidson men's basketball.
-- The Wildcats, who were picked fourth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, return four starters from last year's team that finished 20-13 overall, 10-8 in the Atlantic 10 and advanced to the Postseason NIT.
-- Head Coach Bob McKillop is in his 28th season at the helm.
-- The 10-time Conference Coach of the Year has won more games in Davidson and league history than any other coach.
-- Entering the 2016-17 campaign, his victory total ranks 24th on the NCAA's list of Division I winningest active coaches.
-- McKillop also ranks sixth among active coaches on the NCAA's list of most seasons with their current school.
-- Davidson is led by two-time all-conference performer Jack Gibbs, who ranked sixth nationally in scoring a year ago, averaging 23.7 points per game.

Last Time Out (vs. Appalachian State; 11/12/16)
-- In addition to a game-high 31 points from Peyton Aldridge, Davidson closed on a 19-6 run to defeat Appalachian State, 86-74, in both teams' season opener.
-- Aldridge, a junior from Leavittsburg, Ohio, finished 11-of-18 from the floor, drilled 4 treys and grabbed 7 rebounds in 40 minutes of action. It marks the second time the preseason all-conference selection has gone over the 30-point plateau (32 at Richmond 1/25/16) in his career.
-- Trailing 68-67 with 5:44 to play, Jon Axel Gudmundsson sparked the Wildcats' game-changing spurt with his first career 3-pointer, followed by a pair of free throws. The freshman scored 11 points and handed out 5 assists in his collegiate debut before fouling out.
-- Rusty Reigel also scored in double figures with 13 points, while adding 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
