DAVIDSON, N.C. – Coming off its first home setback since the 2013 season, Davidson looks to bounce back Wednesday evening when Fordham visits Alumni Stadium for a 7 p.m. Atlantic 10 contest.
The Wildcats enter 3-4-3 overall and 0-1-0 in the league following a 2-1 loss to George Washington over the weekend. Despite having its school-record 16-game home-unbeaten streak snapped, Shane Macnamara scored his second goal of the season.
Davidson had a chance to tie the score with 4:05 to play, but was turned away on a penalty kick.
Valeriy Sviderskiy and fellow forward Alec Rotunda continue to pace the Wildcats offensively with three goals and seven total points each.
All three of Rotunda's goals have come off the bench and have either been game-winning or tying.
After dropping three straight to open the season, Fordham comes in with a record of 3-4-3 and 1-0-0 in the A-10 after a 3-0 blanking of La Salle.
Janos Loebe's four goals and four assists lead the Rams, who won the conference tournament last year as the six seed.
As a team, Fordham has only scored 10 goals through its first 10 contests.
Davidson and the Rams have never met on the pitch.
