'Cats Top Patriots 2-1 in A-10 Tournament

DAVIDSON — Tobe Ibe's goal in the 85th minute lifted the Davidson men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over George Mason in an Atlantic 10 quarterfinal match Saturday night at Alumni Stadium and 1992 Team Field.
After receiving a pass from Ben Minikel-Lacocque, Ibe cut to the right and shot back to his left and just off the outstretched arms of George Mason keeper Jaume Salvado.
Fourth-seeded Davidson (9-6-3) led 1-0 at the break after Myles Culley scored in the 42nd minute, off an assist by JP Ramos Mora.
The No. 5 Patriots (7-6-3) earned the equalizer on Martim Sereno's goal in the 78th minute.

The Wildcats will play No. 1 Saint Louis in the A-10 semifinals next week.
