• 96 years after their first meeting, a 47-14 Davidson win on Jan. 24, 1917, the Wildcats and Stetson met on the hardwood last season for just the second time.
• Davidson leads the all-time series, 2-0.
• A year ago, Jack Gibbs paced five Wildcats in double figures with a season-high 20 points and Davidson used a lengthy second-half run to get by Stetson, 86-80, on Nov. 30, 2013.
 
Wildcat Tidbits
• Davidson will conclude its three-game homestand with a 4 p.m. tip against Stetson Saturday.
• Coming off a 92-86 win over their cross-county rival Wednesday, the Wildcats enter 5-1 overall.
• In its last game, Davidson torched the nets for 58.2 percent, including a 14-for-30 showing from downtown.
• The backcourt duo of Tyler Kalinoski and Jack Gibbs continue to lead four Wildcats in double figures, averaging 15.3 and 15.2 points per game, respectively.
• Peyton Aldridge, who paces the team in rebounding (5.8), is also averaging double figures at 11.7 points per outing, while Jordan Barham is contributing 10.2 off the bench.
• On Monday, Gibbs was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after averaging 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while going 18-of-25 from the field last week.
• Through the first six contests, Davidson is shooting 41.0 percent (71-173) from long range and averaging 11.8 3-pointers per game, which is tied for fourth in the nation.
• In addition to ranking eighth nationally in scoring offense, the Wildcats are outscoring their opponents by 18.0 points per game, while holding a +7.3 advantage on the glass.
• Up next, Davidson will travel to Montana for a 9 p.m. contest Wednesday evening.
 
Hornets' Nest Stays Put
• With their 92-86 win over cross-county rival Charlotte on Dec. 3, 2014, the Wildcats retained the Hornets' Nest Trophy, which is awarded to the winner of the annual game between the two Mecklenburg County rivals.
 
Milestone Watch
• Now in his 26th season at the helm, head coach Bob McKillop is just 23 wins away from his 500th career triumph. In Davidson's victory at UCF on Nov. 26, McKillop picked up win No. 475.
• Senior Tyler Kalinoski is 130 points shy of becoming the 46th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
• Backcourt mate Brian Sullivan is 223 points away from becoming the third transfer in school history to hit the milestone.
