Today's Game
• Davidson returns to action at Butler in its final road game of the season.
• The 'Cats have lost five straight and are coming off a 26-20 heartbreaking loss in triple overtime against Campbell Saturday.
• Following today's game, Davidson finishes the season with two contests at home. The 'Cats are 2-2 at home this season.
• Wildcat quarterback Jonathan Carkhuff has set the school completion record with 242 and is flirting with the school record for single-season passing yards. He needs 522 yards to break the record. Receiver Lanny Funsten needs 23 receptions to break the school single-season record.
• The Wildcats are 6-15 in their last 21 road games, dating back to 2008. Davidson is 0-4 on the road this season.
• Davidson is 11-19 all-time in league games on the road, including 6-12 in its last 18.
• Davidson is 18-25 in its last 43 PFL contests and owns a 24-34 all-time PFL record.
• Butler is coming off a 28-10 home loss to Marist back on Oct. 22. The Bulldogs are 2-2 at home this season, and Saturday's game will be their third straight at home.
• The 'Cats were picked ninth in the PFL preseason poll while Butler was picked fifth.

Series Record
• The Wildcats lead the all-time series, which began in 2003, 5-2, and have lost the last two.
• Three of the last four meetings in the series have been decided by 12 points or less.
• Andrew Huck threw for 139 yards and a score and rushed for 43 yards, while the Butler defense gave up just 185 yards to post a 24-8 win at Davidson last season.
Jonathan Carkhuff completed 16-of-22 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats, and Justin Williams had 16 carries for 41 yards. Lanny Funsten caught four passes for a career-high 62 yards and a score.
Daniel Astrop led the defense with 10 tackles (seven solo), and Patrick Moynahan recorded nine stops and a tackle for loss. Peter Kidwell had two tackles and an interception, the first of the season for Davidson.
• Huck was 14-for-20 for the Bulldogs, and Matt Kobli rushed 10 times for 62 yards and a pair of TDs. Jordan Koopman caught seven passes for 82 yards and a score. Jordan Ridley led the defense with 10 tackles, and the Bulldogs combined for three sacks.
• Butler gave up just 113 total yards until Davidson's final offensive series of the game. The Bulldog offense helped out, converting 9-of-16 third downs and holding the ball for 35:19, compared to 24:41 of possession for Davidson.
• Huck threw for 136 yards, ran for 81 and scored the game-winning touchdown to lift the Bulldogs to a 14-7 win over Davidson in the last game in Indianapolis.
• With the score knotted at 7-7, Huck scored on a 1-yard run with 4:09 remaining, and David Lang added the extra point to cap an 11-play, 98-yard drive for the Bulldogs.
• The Wildcats were able to get two offensive possessions the rest of the way but wound up turning the ball over on downs on each one.
Kenny Mantuo ran 16 times for a career-high 147 yards and a touchdown to lead the 'Cats, and Michael Blanchard threw for 91 yards and ran for 41.
Patrick Hunt led the defense with 11 tackles, and Alex Griswold had seven stops and 2.5 tackles for loss.

Leftovers from Campbell
• It was Davidson's first overtime game since 2008 at Valparaiso and the first overtime game at Richardson Stadium since 2006.
• The Wildcats have lost their last four overtime games.
• Davidson had a season-high 156 rushing yards, and Gorman's total was an individual high this year for the 'Cats.
• Davidson falls to 2-2 at home this season.
• It was Campbell's first win over the Wildcats in four tries.

Claw Marks
Jonathan Carkhuff and Lanny Funsten set a school record with a 99-yard TD pass and catch vs. Johnson C. Smith Sept. 24.
• Funsten's 195 receiving yards vs. JCSU was the most for a Wildcat since Alvin Atkinson had 220 vs. Furman in 1979.
Toms Bernhards-Callahan's 94-yard punt return for touchdown against Marist Oct. 8, equaled the school record, set by George Hannen against Wofford in 1969.
• During head coach Tripp Merritt's tenure, the Wildcats are 20-6 when winning the turnover battle.
• Merritt has moved into fifth place on Davidson's all-time win chart (28). He is seven away from fourth place, his former mentor, Tim Landis.
• Davidson is 5-3 on the opening coin toss; the 'Cats received the opening kickoff four times.
• Stetson and Mercer will join the PFL, beginning in the 2013 season.
