Today's Game
• Davidson finishes the 2008 season by hosting Pioneer Football League foe Butler at Richardson Stadium.
• Thirteen seniors are playing in their final collegiate football game.
• Davidson is 8-4 in Richardson Stadium in its last 12. Davidson is 1-3 at home this season.
• The Wildcats are 11-10 in their last 21 conference contests.
• The Wildcats have lost six of seven games and are coming off a 24-19 home setback to Marist last Saturday.
• Butler is on a three-game losing skid and is coming off a 34-17 setback at San Diego.
• The Bulldogs are 4-1 on the road this season.
• The Wildcats have won their last two home finales.
Series Record
• The Wildcats lead the all-time series, which began in 2003, 4-0, are are 2-0 at home against the Bulldogs.
• Davidson posted a 44-32 victory in Indianapolis last season behind 225 rushing yards and a school-record tying four TDs by Justin Williams.
• Ryan Alexander added 218 yards and two TDs through the air, and Ryan Hubbard caught seven passes for 100 yards.
• Peter Bakke recorded 20 tackles; it was tied for the seventh-most tackles in a game in the FCS.
Scouting the Bulldogs
• Quarterback Matt Kobli leads the Butler offensive attack with 2,210 passing yards, 21 TDs and only seven interceptions. He's also run for 451 yards and three scores.
• Dionte Wiggins has 484 rushing yards and four TDs.
• Butler has been very efficient in the Red Zone, scoring 82 percent of the time and scoring TDs at a 72 percent clip.
• The Butler defense has 28 sacks and 10 interceptions for 331 return yards.
• Grant Hunter has 18 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. Derek Bradford has 46 stops and two INTs for 94 yards.
Claw Marks
• Quarterback Ryan Alexander now has 9,132 career passing yards, 368 shy of 9,500.
• Alexander completed 21-of-27 passes against San Diego to break the school record for single-game completion percentage (77 percent), which he had set the week before at Campbell by completing 19-of-25. He has completed 62 of his last 89 passes (70 percent).
• The Wildcats are 18-19 with Ryan Alexander as their starting quarterback.
• With 44 rushing yards against Marist, Chad Barnes moved into ninth on the Davidson career list with 1,492.
• Receiver Myles Potter had 46 yards against Marist, giving him 1,017 for his career.
• Potter's 80-yard TD?reception against Jacksonville Sept. 27, was the longest for the 'Cats since Damion White hooked up with Brett Dioguardi for an 83-yard TD at Jacksonville in 2003.
• Peter Bakke had 11 tackles vs. Marist to put him over the 200 mark for his career (203). Matt Easton collected nine tackles against the Red Foxes, giving him 203 as well.
• Kirk Konert has surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark for his career. He now has 1,090 yards.
• Justin Williams returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a TD against San Diego Nov. 8. He's the first Wildcat to return a kickoff for a TD since John Leverett against Emory & Henry in 2002.
• The Wildcats have led after the third quarter four times and are 1-3.
• Two of Davidson's three wins have been come-from-behind victories.
• Ben Behrendt knocked in a 47-yard field goal on his first career attempt.
• It was the longest Davidson field goal since Chris Costello tied a school record with a 52-yarder at Morehead State in 2003.
• The Wildcats had five takeaways at Lenoir-Rhyne Sept. 13. It's the most since recording six (all INTs) against Greensboro College Sept. 10, 2005.
• Davidson's opponents have outrushed the Wildcats in eight of 10 games this season; the 'Cats have trailed in time of possession in eight of 10 contests as well.
• Dayton's Sean Heenan returned a fumble 77 yards for a TD against the 'Cats Oct. 18. It was the first time an opponent returned a fumble for a TD against Davidson since 2006.
• Drake's Andy Green returned an interception for a touchdown against the 'Cats Oct. 25. It was the first against Davidson since Jacob Fritz of Butler did it Oct. 27, 2007.
