Bio
Made the transition from quarterback to wide receiver last season and had immediate success. His athleticism and competitive fire makes him an asset at wideout and as a return man.
2006: Ranked eighth in the PFL in receptions and ninth in yards... started all 10 games at wide receiver... caught nine passes for 93 yards and a touchdown against the Keydets... had four receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown vs. San Diego... made six catches for 42 yards and a TD against Jacksonville... recorded four receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown at Valparaiso... had six catches for 63 yards and a touchdown at Drake... also made two tackles on the season, including one for a five-yard loss against Jacksonville.
2005: Started season opener behind center and completed 2-of-7 passes for 20 yards before a shoulder injury ended his day at VMI … played in six other games in a reserve capacity … put athleticism on display at Valparaiso, tossing a six-yard touchdown and rushing three times for 34 yards, including a career-long 22-yard run … had one scramble for 18 yards against Drake.
2004: Made collegiate debut at Lenoir-Rhyne, coming off the bench to complete 3-of-8 passes for 19 yards … completed four passes against Butler, three coming on the game-winning drive … threw for a season-high 194 yards at Dayton in his first start… connected on 10- and 30-yard touchdown strikes in the game … also completed the longest pass by a Wildcat with a 55-yard bomb against the Flyers … rushed for another touchdown at Dayton to account for three of the four Davidson scores … had a season-long 14 yard rush while amassing 29 yards on the ground at Austin Peay … started against San Diego and Georgetown.

Personal: Born July 22, 1985, in Ruston … father Bert Jones was a quarterback in the NFL for 10 seasons (1973-82), leading the league in passing yards in 1976 and in completions in 1977 while with the Baltimore Colts … grandfather Dub Jones played in the NFL for six years with the Cleveland Browns (1950-55) … five uncles also played college football … cousin Dallas Morris played third base at Louisiana-Lafayette … cousin Daniel Lincoln was a 12-time All-American at Arkansas in track and field and cross country, plus finished 11th in the steeplechase at the 2004 Summer Olympics … son of Danielle and Bert.
