DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson women's tennis team will open their fall slate this weekend at the Emily McNall Classic hosted by UNCA.
The sixth annual / three-day event will be played at the Asheville School. The Wildcats will take on Presbyterian Friday before playing Wofford (Saturday) and the host Bulldogs (Sunday) over the weekend.
Under the direction of Susanne Depka, who is in her 10th season at the helm, the Wildcats return eight letterwinners and four starters from last year's team that went 11-8 overall and 4-2 in league play.
"We are excited for our first tournament of the fall season," Depka said. "We will use this tournament to continue to work on our processes and learn so we can continue to improve. I can't wait to travel with and coach this group."
Among those returning include 2026 All-Conference performer Bryson Langford, who posted a 16-8 singles record a year ago, including a 10-4 mark at the No. 2 spot.
In addition, the Wildcats welcome three newcomers to this year's squad.
Davidson's fall campaign will consist of five events highlighted by hosting the Atlantic 10 Conference Masters Oct. 2-4.
