
Seniors Lead 'Cats to 4-0 Win in Regular Season Finale

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson women's tennis team capped off its regular season in dominant fashion Saturday, sweeping South Carolina State 4-0 on Senior Day.
With the win, the Wildcats improve to 10-7 overall.
"It was a great day for the Cats and for the seniors, Livy and Savanna," Davidson head coach Susanne Depka said. "I am so happy for how well they did and competed today. It was a wonderful finish to a great season. I look forward to what the team brings to the conference tournament next week."
Playing in their final home match, seniors Olivia Hooper and Savanna Kollock played a major part in today's victory.
In addition to each picking up a doubles win, they both recorded straight set wins in singles action. Kollock cruised on court one over Katerina Marsalkova, 6-1, 6-1, while Hooper dispatched of Danica Nedeljkovic, 6-3 6-2.
Sophomore Ellie Hammond improved to a team-best 12-3 at the No. 3 spot with a straight-set decision of her own over Valeria Teran, 6-4, 6-3.
