Hooper and ‘Cats Advance to A-10 Semis with 4-0 win over GW

ORLANDO, Fla. — Senior Olivia Hooper rallied from a set down to clinch the deciding point Thursday, leading No. 4 seed Davidson to a 4-0 sweep of No. 5 seed George Washington in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championships.
Hooper dropped her opening set 1-6 to Devika Manu at No. 6 singles, but stormed back to win 7-5, 6-1, sending the Wildcats to the conference semifinals, where they will take on top-seeded Fordham Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Davidson (11-7) secured the doubles point in dramatic fashion. After the teams split the first two matches, Hooper and Keri Rothenberg outlasted Alexandra Lindqvist and Manu in a 7-6 (3) tiebreaker at the No. 3 position to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
In singles play, Ellie Hammond and Charlotte Calderwood provided a quick cushion with straight-set victories. Hammond defeated Madison Lee 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, while Calderwood topped Lindqvist 6-3, 6-2 on court four.
The remaining three matches went unfinished.
