
Wildcats Resume Spring Slate Sunday Afternoon

DAVIDSON, N.C. – After more than two-weeks since their last match, the Davidson women's tennis team will resume their 2026 spring slate Sunday afternoon when UNCG visits the Knobloch Tennis Center for a 1 p.m. match.
Since their season-opening win over Queens Jan. 23, the Wildcats have had two matches canceled and two more postponed due to recent Winter storms.
Following the 7-0 blanking of the Royals, Davidson's Savanna Kollock and Keri Rothenberg swept Atlantic 10 Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.

After the duo of Olivia Hooper and Keri Rothenberg defeated Kaila Angeles and Daniela Tomasa, 6-0, on court three, Savanna Kollock and Bryson Langford clinched the team point with a 6-0 win of their own at the top spot.
Ellie Hammond and Charlotte Calderwood finished doubles off with a 6-1 triumph over Rachel Byrne and Jett Coetzee.
Davidson carried its momentum into the singles competition with convincing straight set wins.
Calderwood put her club up 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 followed by Hammond's 6-1, 6-0 victory over Rachel Byrne.
On court two, Langford provided the clinching point with her 6-1, 6-1 decision over Zoe Cvitanovic shortly before Kollock defeated Mathilde Bris, 6-3, 6-0.
Rothenberg (6-0, 6-0) and Hooper (6-2, 6-3) would cap things off at positions five and six, respectively, to secure the shutout.

Davidson will travel Gardner-Webb next weekend for a 1 p.m. contest Saturday in nearby Boiling Springs.
