DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson dropped its first match of the 2026 spring campaign, falling to North Florida, 4-0, Saturday morning in non-conference women's tennis action inside the Knobloch Tennis Center.
The Wildcats fall to 3-1 overall, while the Ospreys remain unbeaten improving to 9-0.
For the first time this season, Davidson dropped the doubles point. North Florida claimed wins on courts one and three to grab the early 1-0 advantage.
"We played a very good opponent today," said Davidson head coach Susanne Depka. "We competed extremely well and were able to put ourselves in positions to win the match. I'm proud of each player to push their limits with their games and not back down even when it became hard."
The Wildcats got off to a fast start in singles, including opening set wins from Savanna Kollock and Bryson Langford, but North Florida fought back with victories at spots one, three and four to clinch the contest.
"Everyone improved today and this will give them more confidence going into tomorrow."

Davidson will continue its three-match homestand tomorrow with a 1 p.m. tilt against Coastal Carolina.
