WASHINGTON, D.C. - Davidson women's tennis senior Kavya Patel and junior Savanna Kollock earned Atlantic 10 First and Second Team All-Conference recognition as well as an All-Academic honor for Patel, the league office announced Monday.

Patel, a senior Psychology major, led the roster in doubles action with a team-best 11 wins in addition to being second on the team in singles with 12 victories. The Roswell, Ga. native secured all of her singles triumphs from the No. 1 position while going 9-6 in No. 1 doubles play. Patel enjoyed an eight-match winning streak in singles through the middle of the season as well as a five-match winning streak in doubles over the same time period.

For the year, Patel was an even 3-3 in both A-10 singles and doubles action through the regular and post season. Patel has now earned her the second All-Conference honor of her career after landing on the A-10 Second Team a season ago.

A native of Scottsdale, Az., Kollock was a pivotal portion of the Wildcats successes in singles and doubles play holding a 7-4 and 8-6 record respectively. The junior was a solid 5-3 in No. 2 solo play while picking up seven wins in No. 2 doubles matches.

Additionally, Kollock was an undefeated 1-0 in both solo and doubles matches from the No. 1 position through the season.

Patel and Kollock each helped Davidson reach the A-10 Championship quarterfinals match after taking a 4-1 win over Saint Joseph's in the opening round. This year's postseason honor marks the first in the career of Kollock.
