WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Davidson women's tennis team picked up its first Atlantic 10 victory in a convincing 7-0 victory at George Washington Friday afternoon.Â
The win puts the 'Cats overall record at 11-6 while its conference mark becomes 1-4 with two matches remaining in the regular season.Â
The senior duo of Kavya Patel and Daniela Porges continued their strong season taking a 6-3 win on court one while Ellie Hammond and Charlotte Calderwood claimed a victory in identical 6-3 fashion on court three to take the doubles point.Â
It was all Davidson in singles competition winning from courts one to six all of which were two-set triumphs except for a three-set bout at No. 1 between Patel and Victoria Sasinka which ultimately went to Patel.Â
