COLUMBIA, S.C. – In their final tune-up prior to next weekend's conference championships, the Davidson women's indoor track and field team set multiple school records Saturday at the USC Invite hosted by the University of South Carolina.

Freshman Ashley Rangel set a new school standard in the weight throw, while also breaking her previous record in the shot put.

After starting the morning with a third-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 12.69m / 41' 7.75", Rangel finished the day with a 13.97m / 45' 10" in the weight throw, breaking teammate Summer Laskey's school-best of 13.61m / 44' 8" set minutes earlier.

Stefania Williams continues to shine in the long jump setting a new Davidson best for the second straight weekend with a then-facility record of 5.60m / 18' 4.5", placing eighth out of 26 competitors.

Another bright spot for the Wildcats was Gabby Demeter, who came home second in the high jump with a height of 1.56m / 5' 1.25".

Davidson also got personal records from Riley Dodd (Shot Put & 60m Hurdles) and Lucie De Syon (200m) in their respective events.
