
Davidson Travels to No. 17 Kansas, Set to Play at Historic Allen Fieldhouse for the First Time

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson travels to Kansas on Monday evening at 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET inside historic Allen Fieldhouse. The Wildcats are 8-3 on the season and the Jayhawks sit at 9-3. This is only the second true road test for Davidson so far this season.

INSIDE THE MATCHUP
This is the fourth meeting all time between Davidson and Kansas. This is Davidson's first trip to Allen Fieldhouse. The last matchup took place on December 17, 2016 at the Sprint Center (now T-Mobile Center) in Kansas City, Mo. Davidson led 43-42 at the half but fell 89-71. Peyton Aldridge led the 'Cats with 22 points and 8 rebounds.
Davidson's only win against Kansas came on December 19, 2011 at the Sprint Center (now T-Mobile Center) in Kansas City, Mo. The 'Cats won 80-74 and four scholar-athletes scored in double figures led by Nik Cochran (21 points).
The first meeting was on March 30, 2008 in the NCAA Tournament (Elight Eight). #1 seed Kansas beat #10 seed Davidson 59-57 in Detroit. Stephen Curry scored 25 points. Jason Richards had 7 points and 9 assists.
LAST GAME
The 'Cats fell to Temple 68-63 last Thursday inside Belk Arena. Davidson shot just 23.5 percent from the floor in the first half, but bounced back in the second half with a 57.1 percent mark from the floor. Roberts Blums led the Wildcats with 14 points.

Davidson started the season 5-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign.

Davidson's last win against a nationally ranked team was No. 10/11 Alabama on December 21, 2021. The 'Cats earned an at-large selection to the NCAA Tournament later that season.
