Balanced ‘Cats Cruise Past DeSales in Opener

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Behind a career-high 18 points from Hunter Adam, Davidson opened its 2025-26 men's basketball season with a 97-63 victory over DeSales Monday evening inside John M. Belk Arena.
Adam, a redshirt junior from Christchurch, New Zealand, finished with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting and five treys.
He was joined in double figures by RJ Greer (13), Manie Joses (11) and Josh Scovens (10), while five others scored at least seven points for the 'Cats.
After a back-and-forth start, the Wildcats settled in and took control with a 16-3 run midway through the opening 20 minutes before carrying a 49-30 lead into the half.
Davidson, which finished the night shooting 50.8 percent, including 11 3-pointers, pushed the margin to as many as 39 with just over a minute to play.
Brendan Boyle led the way for the Bulldogs with 20 points.
