SERIES HISTORY...
Davidson and Morgan State met for the first time in their program's histories Dec. 28, 2022. The Wildcats defeated the Bears in a narrow 65-62 victory in John M. Belk Arena.
Elle Sutphin and Suzi-Rose Deegan over 36 minutes each tallied 24 and 19 points respectively to lead the way for the 'Cats. Sutphin tacked on seven rebounds while Issy Morgan also brought in seven boards to go along with six assists and two steals.

LAST TIME OUT...
The Wildcats earned a notable win as they knocked off the Blue Devils for the first time since 1978.
In addition to becoming the 23rd player in program history to hit the 1,000-point plateau, Sutphin paced four Wildcats in double figure with a game-high 19 points on 3-of-4 from behind the 3-point arc and a perfect 6-of-6 at the line.
Deegan added 18 points and 4 steals in 38 minutes of action, while Charlise Dunn scored 15 off the bench and Morgan had 10.
ACC ACCOLADES
Davidson defeated two of its three scheduled Atlantic Coast Conference competitors this season with wins over Wake Forest and most recently Duke. The two ACC wins mark the first time in 29 years that the 'Cats picked up a pair of wins over ACC foes in the same season.
Additionally, with the Blue Devils having received votes in the Associated Press poll and being slotted 22nd in the most recent Women's Basketball Coaches Association coaches poll, it marks the first time in program history that the Wildcats defeated a ranked opponent.

The Wildcats enter another week of non-conference play among the leaders in the Atlantic 10 conference in numerous areas:

Very early in the season, four Wildcats are within the top 10 players in the A-10 in at least one category.

Also leading the Wildcats entering the weekend is Deegan with per game averages of 11.5 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.8 apg over four starts. Maddie Plank is a key component to the Davidson offense having averaged 3.3 rpg including 2.3 offensive boards a contest.
Freshmen Katie Donovan has seen time in all four games for Davidson while fellow freshmen Sylvie Jackson and Chloe Oliver have each mad an appearance in at least one game.
SOLID SEASON START...
The Wildcats' 3-1 record is the best start they have gotten off to since the 2019-20 season where that season's team went six contests before suffering its second loss of the year.

LAST TIME OUT...
The Bears picked up their second win of the season when they defeated Notre Dame of Maryland University 75-32 Thursday in Hill Field House.
Heading the offensive output for Morgan State is Gabrielle Johnson with per game averages of 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds 3.7 steals and 3.3 assists. Joining her in double-digit points is Kaia Ponder with 11.7 points per game in addition to tallying 6.3 rpg and 2.3 apg, spg and bpg.
Gabrielle Johnson, Emily Jones and Sedayjha Payne all saw time in the Bears and Wildcats' most recent meeting with Johnson scoring a team-best 15 points.
