WASHINGTON, D.C. – Oscar Hayes Brown scored the game's lone goal in the 51st minute to lift George Washington over Davidson, 1-0, in both team's Atlantic 10 men's soccer opener Saturday afternoon.
The Colonials improve to 3-2-1 overall and 1-0-0 in league play, while the Wildcats fall to 1-5-1 and 0-1-0.
George Washington finished with a 9-8 edge in shots as both teams registered just one shot on frame.
Davidson held a 7-3 margin in corner kicks.

The Wildcats will conclude their three-game road swing Tuesday with a 7 p.m. contest at Radford.
