‘Cats Fall in A-10 Opener at St. Bonaventure, 1-0

OLEAN, N.C. – Joshua Pulla's 64th minute score proved to be the difference as St. Bonaventure knocked off Davidson, 1-0, in both team's Atlantic 10 men's soccer opener Saturday afternoon at the Marra Athletics Complex.
The 'Cats fall to 4-2-0 overall, while the Bonnies improve to 1-4-1.
Davidson had a few chances to equalize late but was unable to capitalize. Perhaps its best opportunity came at the 74:53 mark when Lucas Hauth's attempt from in front was cleared off the end line by a Bonnies' defender.
Vincent Bennage, who entered with a team-leading five goals, led the 'Cats with three shots.
Despite the setback, Davidson finished with an 8-6 edge in shots and 8-3 margin in corner kicks.
Both keepers finished with three stops.
Up Next
Davidson will play its next four at home beginning with a 6 p.m. match against Georgia State Tuesday evening inside Alumni Stadium.
