WILDCAT SCRATCHES
• Davidson enters 11-11 and 5-5 in league play following a 73-62 setback at VCU Friday evening.
• Despite the loss, Kellan Grady scored a game-high 27 points, while Hyunjung Lee added a season-high 20 points off the bench.
• The 'Cats have won 32 of their last 36 at Belk Arena.
• The 'Cats are 64-36 in A-10 regular season contests, including 14-4 last year, and 73-41 including A-10 tournament play.
• Kellan Grady continues to lead Davidson in scoring at 16.5 points per outing.
• Jon Axel Gudmundsson (14.4), Carter Collins (10.8) and Luka Brajkovic (10.2) are also averaging double figures for the Wildcats.

GET BETTER EVERY DAY
• One of the Wildcats' philosophies is to get better every day, and Davidson has seen the fruits of that labor at the end of the year.
• Since 2003-04, the Wildcats own a 99-27 record in the month of February.
• Davidson is 47-26 in March during the same time period.

LAST TIME OUT
• Kellan Grady scored a game-high 27 points, and Hyunjung Lee posted the first 20-point game of his career, but it wasn't enough as Davidson fell 73-62 to VCU in the Siegel Center Friday night.
• The Wildcats overcame a rough start against the Rams' pressure defense and trimmed a 20-point deficit to seven in the second half. But VCU kept the Wildcats at bay by converting all 19 of its free-throw attempts.
• Davidson committed 21 turnovers against the Rams' pressure defense, including 16 in the first half as the Wildcats were held to 28.6 percent shooting in the opening 20 minutes and trailed 35-20 at the break.
• Grady scored 11 straight points and 15 of 17 to cut the Rams' lead to 63-56 on a 3-pointer from the right wing with 4:08 to play. But the Wildcats could get no closer.
• Lee provided all nine points of a 9-2 second-half run and 14 of 16 in a second-half stretch to exceed his previous high of 19 points at Loyola-Chicago in December.
• VCU scored 15 of the game's first 17 points before the Wildcats cut the deficit to 15-14 with a 12-0 run of their own that spanned just 1:54 and included six points from Lee and five from Grady. The Rams' lead peaked at 45-25 with 15:26 to play.
• Marcus Evans and De'Riante Jenkins led the Rams with 19 and 15 points, respectively.

LAST TIME VS. FORDHAM
• In addition to scoring a game-high 21 points, Davidson's Jon Axel Gudmundsson became just the fourth player in school history to hit the 500-assist plateau as the 'Cats rallied past Fordham, 74-62, January 19, 2020 at Rose Hill Gym.
• Gudmundsson finished 8-of-12 from the floor, drilled four 3-pointers and handed out 9 assists, just missing his third straight double-double.
• Gudmundsson was joined in double figures by backcourt mates Mike Jones (15) and Carter Collins (11).
• Davidson wasted little time erasing its halftime deficit as the 'Cats opened the second half on a 25-7 run, capped by 14 straight points to grab a 62-48 advantage. During their game-changing streak, the Wildcats were 9-of-12 from the floor, including six 3-pointers.
• The 'Cats shot 56 percent in the final frame to finish at 54 percent, which included a 12-of-30 effort from long range. Davidson was as impressive defensively in the second half, holding the Rams to just 32 percent (8-25).

UP NEXT
• Davidson will hit the road for two straight beginning with a 7 p.m. tip at St. Bonaventure on Friday.

JON AXEL "GOOD"MUNDSSON
• This season, Jon Axel Gudmundsson has hit the following milestones -- 1,500 career points, 700 rebounds, 500 assists, 200 made 3-pointers and 150 steals.
• He is the first Division I player since 1992-93 to reach those marks.
• He is the only player in school history with 1,000 career points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists.
• Along with ranking fourth in school history with 531 career assists, Gudmundsson is on pace to be just the fourth collegiate player in the last 25 years to record 1,600 points, 750 rebounds, 400 assists and 150 3-pointers (Michigan State's Denzel Valentine, Tulane's Jerald Honeycutt, Purdue's Vince Edwards).
