DAVIDSON, N.C. — Sophomore Alexandra Abele won her 11th consecutive singles match and Davidson kept its winning streak intact at seven in a row after cruising past Saint Joseph's 6-1 at home on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Atlantic 10 women's tennis inside the Knobloch Tennis Center.

Davidson moved to 10-2 on the season and 2-0 in A-10 action, while keep the Hawks winless at 0-7 overall and 0-2 in league play.

"The team did well coming off a tough week in Florida," said head coach Susanne Depka. "I am proud of their effort and mindset today. They continue to focus on improving and not letting their mind wander on outcome or record. It was great to be back home and we look forward to continuing with our processes and goals the rest of the week."

Abele led an impressive singles showing by the 'Cats, picking up a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 to run her season record to a team-best 11-2. The 11 straight wins matches Ava Todd's streak of 11 a year ago.

Also winning by the same score as Abele was Megan Scholvinck at No. 2, earning her fifth win of the year.

The duo of Todd and Alyssa Hahn took home wins of 6-1, 6-1 each at No. 5 and 6 positions, respectively. The win was Hahn's first singles triumph of her collegiate career, while Todd moved to 7-2 on the season.

Lindsay Song ran her record to a perfect 8-0 after securing a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4.

Davidson took the doubles point after sweeping all three positions. Anna Catharine Feaster and Scholvinck remained perfect at 3-0 with a 6-1 win at the top spot. Armas and Hahn won their second match in a row, scoring a 6-3 win at No. 2, while Todd and Gabrielle Centenari also won their second straight after a 6-2 victory at No. 3.

Davidson remains at home to take on UMass in another A-10 match this coming Friday, March 16.
