CHARLESTON, S.C. – Luka Brajkovic recorded his first career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Davidson to a third-place finish in the 2018 Charleston Classic, with a 71-59 win over Northeastern Sunday at TD Arena.
The Wildcats started the second half 10-of-12 from the floor and used a 16-4 streak to grab a double-digit advantage, which they would stretch to as many as 17, 58-41, with 9:45 to play.
Jon Axel Gudmundsson turned in another solid performance for Davidson (4-1) with 11 points and 8 assists, while backcourt mate Luke Frampton added 11 points of his own.
In a game that featured 13 lead changes, Northeastern was only able to get within seven, after the 'Cats went on their game-changing run.
Davidson continued its impressive play at the defensive end holding the Huskies to just 36.7 percent overall and 9-of-32 (.281) from long range.
In addition to shooting 52 percent after intermission, the Wildcats had six players score at least 8 points, including Carter Collins, who also grabbed a personal-best 8 rebounds.
After Davidson reeled off seven straight to go up, 24-18, Northeastern closed the first half on a 10-4 spurt to tie the score at the break, 28-28.
Bolden Brace was the lone Husky to crack the 10-point plateau with 12.
Both teams finished with 8 steals, while the Wildcats held a 35-34 edge on the glass.

Davidson and Northeastern will meet again Saturday, Nov. 24 in a non-bracketed contest at Belk Arena. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. with the game airing on ESPN+.
