DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson remained perfect on its home courts this season, while increasing its overall home win streak when it picked up a 5-2 victory over East Carolina Saturday morning in non-conference women's tennis action.
The Wildcats (5-1) ran their record to 4-0 at home this year, while pushing their streak dating back to last season to 12 in a row at home. The home win streak in the longest since 2007 when they had a 13-match streak.

Also blanking their Pirate opponent at No. 2 was the team of Anna Catharine Feaster and Ally Sexton, who grabbed their fourth win together on the season with a 6-0 shutout to seal up the doubles point.
Abele continued her strong singles play in her first year by tallying a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 4, as Davidson captured wins in four of the six singles matches to secure the team victory. Abele is a team-best 5-1 on the season.
Playing No. 2 was Anna Catharine Feaster, who need a third set to put away from Lisa Hofbauer by the scores of 5-7, 7-5, 7-6.
