ORLANDO, Fla. – Jack Gibbs (25) and Peyton Aldridge (21) combined to score 46 points in Davidson's 70-55 victory over Missouri on day two of the 2016 Tire Pros Invitational, Friday at the HP Field House.

The Wildcats will face the winner of Arizona State/Tulane on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The nation's sixth leading scorer a year ago, Gibbs finished 7-of-16 from the floor, hit three 3-pointers and connected on 8-of-9 free throws.

Aldridge, who has gone over the 20-point plateau in each of Davidson's first three contests, went 8-of-13 from the field, including three treys of his own, and grabbed a game-high 7 rebounds.

Davidson (2-1), which got 12 points each from Gibbs and Aldridge in the first half, raced out to a 26-9 lead, before taking a 37-23 advantage into the break.

In addition to drilling 10 3-pointers, the Wildcats were impressive at the defensive end, holding Mizzou to just 36.1 percent overall and 3-of-16 (.188) from long range.

Missouri (1-2) cut the deficit to 10 on separate occasions in the second half, but was unable to inch closer as the Wildcats stretched the margin to as many as 18, 58-40, with 8:07 to play.

Kevin Puryear paced three Tigers in double figures with 12 points.
