CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Davidson women's tennis team faced a familiar foe in former Southern Conference opponent College of Charleston Saturday morning, with Cougars getting the better of the Wildcats in a 5-2 decision at the Patriots Point Tennis Center.

Davidson, coming off a tough 4-3 setback Friday vs. UMass, fell to 8-6 overall. CofC, which is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association now, moved to 6-12 on the season.

Scoring the Wildcats' two team points were Anna Catharine Feaster and Ava Todd. The freshmen duo won matches at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively. Feaster scored a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) win for her fourth straight victory as she moved her record to 10-4.

Todd continued her impressive freshman season, netting her 13th win in a row and second at No. 3. She picked up a 6-3, 6-4 decision for her team-best 13th win to only one defeat.

CofC opened the match by taking all three doubles matches by the scores of 6-1, 4-2 and 6-0.

Davidson continues its six-match road swing with a trip to Cullowhee, N.C., to face Western Carolina, March 28.
