Wildcat Tidbits
• Coming off a heartbreaking setback, Davidson will continue its brief homestand Saturday evening when Duquesne visits Belk Arena.
• The Wildcats enter their first-ever meeting with the Dukes, 14-6 overall and 5-4 in A-10 play after falling at the buzzer to St. Bonaventure Wednesday, 62-61.
• Prior to Marcus Posley's game-winner, Peyton Aldridge's 3-pointer gave the 'Cats a 61-60 lead with 4.8 seconds to play.
• The loss ended Davidson's 15-game home winning streak.
• It marks the first time the Wildcats have dropped consecutive games this season.
• Brian Sullivan and Tyler Kalinoski were the lone Wildcats in double digits with 17 and 13 points, respectively, while playing 40 minutes each. Kalinoski also had eight assists for Davidson, which finished with 18 on 22 field goals.
• Kalinoski continues to pace five Wildcats in double figures averaging 16.5 points per game.
• He is joined by Jack Gibbs (15.8), Sullivan (11.5), Peyton Aldridge (11.0) and Jordan Barham (10.3).
• Kalinoski, a two-time A-10 Player of the Week, also ranks among league leaders in rebounding (5.9 rpg./15th), assists (4.1 apg./4th), 3-point field-goal percentage (.433/5th), 3-pointers made (58/1st), assist/turnover ratio (2.5/2nd) and minutes played (34.5 mpg./4th).
• Seven different players have hit the 20-point plateau this season for the Wildcats.
• In addition to ranking ninth nationally in scoring offense (80.3 ppg), Davidson is averaging 10.7 3-pointers per game, which is second best in the country.
• The Wildcats are also second nationally in assist/turnover ratio (1.68), while ranking seventh in assists per game (17.1) and 19th in 3-point field-goal percentage (.397).
• Three of Davidson's losses this season have come against nationally-ranked teams.
• Up next, the Wildcats will entertain George Mason, Wednesday at 7 p.m.
