Last Time Out
Jack Gibbs scored a game-high 35 points to pace four Davidson players in double figures as the Wildcats held on for a 90-85 win over UCF in both team's season opener Saturday.
• Gibbs, who just missed his career high, a 37-point effort against the Knights in Orlando last year, finished 12-of-23 from the floor and 9-of-10 at the free-throw line. The junior also grabbed 5 rebounds and handed 5 assists in 35 minutes.
• Backcourt mates Brian Sullivan and Jordan Barham added 15 points each, while Jake Belford recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
• Trailing 63-62 with just under 11 minutes to play, Gibbs scored seven straight to give the Wildcats the lead for good.
• Despite shooting just 40 percent from the floor and going 9-of-37 from long range, the Wildcats had 18 assists to just 6 turnovers.
• In addition, Davidson went 21-of-28 from the charity stripe, while the Knights connected on just 62.1 percent (18-29) of their attempts.

Last Time vs. College of Charleston
•  Peyton Aldridge scored 22 points, Jack Gibbs recorded his first career double-double and Davidson earned its seventh-straight win with an 80-68 victory at College of Charleston on Dec. 20, 2014 at TD Arena.
• The win improved the Wildcats to 9-1 overall, giving them their best start under head coach Bob McKillop.
• Davidson, which torched the nets for 56.3 percent in the first 20 minutes, finished the contest shooting 44.9 percent.
• After Canyon Barry's 3-pointer made it a 45-41 game, with 15:14 to play, Davidson responded with a 12-4 spurt to push the margin back to double digits, where it would stay the rest of the way.

'Cats to Play in 2016 Puerto Rico Tip-Off
•  On Thursday, ESPN Events announced that Davidson will compete in the 2016 Puerto Rico Tip-Off, held in San Juan, Nov. 17, 18 & 20.
•  In addition to the Wildcats, next year's eight-team field will also showcase Arizona State, Clemson, Missouri, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma, Tulane and Xavier.
•  Match-ups and game times will be announced at a later date.

Gibbs and Curry
• Over the last 20 years, Jack Gibbs and Stephen Curry are the only Davidson players to score at least 35 points in a contest.
• Gibbs has accomplished the feat twice, both against UCF, while Curry reached the 35-point plateau 13 times (6 - 2007-08; 7 - 2008-09).
