CHAPEL HILL, N.C. –
Kelsey Kolojejchick led No. 2 North Carolina with two goals and two assists as the Tar Heels defeated Davidson field hockey, 5-0 Sunday afternoon at Francis E. Henry Stadium.

UNC (9-1) took control of the game early with four goals in the first eight minutes. Kolojejchick scored the first exactly two minutes in with a shot from the left, with Elizabeth Stephens earning the assist. Kolojejchick then earned the helper on a goal be Stephens 2:16 later and found Loren Shealy in front of the cage for a goal in the seventh minute. Katie Ardrey followed with an unassisted tally in the eighth minute.

Kolojejchick, who led the Tar Heels with eight shots, then added a goal in the 54th minute for the final margin.

Junior Finley Amato led Davidson (4-4) with two shots. Junior goalkeeper Sarah Fisher made nine saves, while Caitlin Powers made two stops for the Tar Heels.

The 'Cats return to Belk Turf Field Saturday to take on Longwood in their first NorPac match of the season.
