Today's Game
• Davidson opens a two-game road trip at Morehead State Saturday.
• The Wildcats are 4-9 in their last 13 road games, dating back to 2008.
• Davidson is 9-15 all-time in league games on the road, including 4-8 in its last 12.
• Davidson is 16-17 in its last 33 PFL contests and owns a 22-25 all-time PFL record.
• The 'Cats are coming off a 24-8 home loss to Butler.
• Morehead State is coming off a 37-10 non-conference loss at Georgia State.
• This is only the Eagles' second home game this season. Morehead State defeated St. Francis (Pa.) 31-21 Sept. 11.
• Davidson was picked seventh in the Pioneer Football League, while Morehead State was picked ninth.
Series Record
• The Eagles lead the all-time series, which began in 1999, 7-4.
• The Eagles have won six of the last nine against Davidson overall and are 5-1 against the Wildcats at home.
• The Wildcat defense forced five turnovers, and quarterback Michael Blanchard rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns to lead Davidson to a 16-10 win last season.
• The 'Cats had 10 tackles for loss and three sacks and held Morehead State to 75 yards on the ground and 180 yards of total offense.
• Daniel Astrop and Tyler Lemons each led the way with nine tackles, and Astrop forced two fumbles. Patrick Hunt had a sack and two tackles for loss, while Alex Griswold had two tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble.
• Blanchard also completed four passes for 50 yards, and Kenny Mantuo rushed 12 times for 54 yards for the Wildcats.
• Evan Sawyer threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns, and Mason Webb kicked four field goals to lead Morehead State to a 26-13 victory the last time the teams met in Jayne Stadium.

Scouting the Eagles
• Sophomore signal-caller Zach Lewis leads the Eagle offense and has completed 64 percent of his passes, throwing for 1,433 yards and 13 touchdowns.
• A trio of receivers have 200-plus yards, led by Ronnie McDermott with 22 receptions for 281 yards and a score.
• Desmond Cox has rushed 57 times for 178 yards.
• Tony Bachman leads the squad in tackles with 47, and Jerome Raymond has 30 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and four sacks.
Claw Marks
• During head coach Tripp Merritt's tenure, the Wildcats are 17-5 when winning the turnover battle.
• Running back Kenny Mantuo ranks fourth on the Davidson all-time rushing list, with 1,699 yards. He rushed for a career-high 181 yards at Campbell, his fifth game with 100 yards or more. It was the most yards since classmate Justin Williams ran for 225 at Butler in 2007.
• Williams needs 62 punt return yards to become the school's all-time leader. Already Davidson's record holder in kick return yards, Williams needs 847 all-purpose yards to break the school's career mark in that category. Williams reached 1,000 rushing yards for his career with 37 against Jacksonville. Williams also needs 117 yards to become the PFL's all-time leader in kick return yardage (Justin Campbell, Butler, 2001-04).
• Mark Hanabury needs 240 receiving yards to reach 1,000 for his career.
• Ben Behrendt has 14 career field goals, which ranks fifth at Davidson. He needs one more to move into third. His 48-yarder against Jacksonville is a career high.
• Head coach Tripp Merritt has moved into a tie for fifth with Homer Smith on Davidson's all-time win chart (24). He is 11 away from fourth place, his former mentor, Tim Landis.
• Davidson has lost eight of its last nine season openers and are 7-3 in its last 10 home openers.
