Layup Line
• The Wildcats continue a four-game homestand by hosting SoCon opponent Samford in Belk Arena.
• The four-game stretch, which began Dec. 28 against Penn, is the longest homestand of the season for the Wildcats.
• The 'Cats are coming off a stretch in which they played five of six away from home, and Davidson went 3-3.
• Davidson plays nine of its final 16 regular-season games at home.
• The Wildcats remaining 16 regular-season games are all SoCon contests.
• Davidson is coming off a 63-61 win over UMass Dec. 30.
• The Wildcats have won four of their last five contests.
• Davidson is 4-1 in Belk Arena.
• Samford has also won four of five games and is coming off a 63-46 home win over Chicago State Dec. 28.

Series History
• Davidson leads the all-time series, which began in the 1992-93 campaign, 4-0.
• Last year's Jan. 3 meeting in Belk Arena was the first for the Wildcats and Bulldogs since 1993.
• Davidson swept the season series in 2008-09 by squeaking out a 55-52 win in a sold out Pete Hanna Center Jan. 31.
• Bryant Barr hit two free throws with 22 seconds left, and the Davidson defense forced a missed 3-pointer at the buzzer as the Wildcats grinded out the win.
• The Bulldogs cut a 10-point second-half deficit down to 47-46 on a Curtis West layup with 4:35 to play. Andrew Lovedale answered with consecutive layups for the Wildcats, but the Bulldogs responded with five straight points to trim the margin to 51-50 with 1:26 remaining.
• Stephen Curry hit Steve Rossiter with a pass for a layup off a slip screen on Davidson's next possession. Trey Montgomery missed a layup for the Bulldogs, but the rebound went off the 'Cats and out of bounds.
• Jim Griffin scored a layup off the inbounds play with 32.3 seconds left, bringing the lead back to one point. Davidson was able to run 10 seconds off the clock before Barr was fouled, setting up a one-and-one situation.
• Montgomery missed a 3-pointer for Samford, but the ball went out of bounds off of the 'Cats with 10.2 seconds left. The Bulldogs got the ball to Josh Bedwell on the inbounds play, but Lovedale jumped out to contest the shot. The 3-point try came off the front iron and into the paws of Rossiter as the buzzer sounded to end the game.
• Curry finished the hard-fought contest with 20 points, and Lovedale posted 13 points and 12 rebounds. Rossiter had nine points and six rebounds, and Barr wound up with five points.
• West posted 13 points and five rebounds, and Montgomery posted 10 points and six boards for Samford.
Leftovers from UMass
• It was Davidson's first victory when trailing at the half.
• Each of the last three meetings between UMass and Davidson have been decided by three points or less.
Claw Marks
• Bryant Barr needs 46 points to reach 700 for his career.
• Steve Rossiter needs 42 points and 19 rebounds to become the 30th Davidson player to tally 500 points and 500 rebounds.
• Davidson coach Bob McKillop is 27 wins shy of his 400th career victory.
• With 118 career games played, Will Archambault and Bryant Barr are both 12 games away from the school record, set by Andrew Lovedale 2005-09.
• Davidson has hit 13 or more 3-pointers in five games this season (Fredonia State, The Citadel, Gonzaga, TCNJ, Penn).

Archambault Nearing 1,000 Points
• Senior Will Archambault is closing in on becoming the 38th Davidson player to score 1,000 points in his career.
• He needs 122 points to reach the mark.
• Archambault also needs 137 rebounds for 500 career caroms.
Tough Non-Conference Slate
• Davidson finished non-conference play with a 5-7 record.
• According to the 2010 Pomeroy College Basketball Rankings, Davidson has played the 56th-toughest non-conference schedule in the country.
• As of Jan. 2, the non-conference opponents that defeated the Wildcats have a combined record of 68-23, and all seven have a winning record.
A Strong Bench
• Davidson's bench has outscored its opponent in all but two games and owns a 329-202 cumulative edge on the season.
• Players coming off the projected bench for today's game are averaging a combined 20.6 points a contest.
