Layup Line
• The Wildcats return home for their SoCon opener as Davidson hosts Chattanooga in Belk Arena. It will also be the conference opener for the Mocs, who were picked to win the North Division in both SoCon preseason polls.
• The 'Cats have won their last five and are coming off a 68-65 victory over West Virginia in the Jimmy V Classic Tuesday. Davidson has won 32 of its last 34 games, dating back to Jan. 3, 2008.
• Davidson has a current 21-game winning streak in Belk Arena. The 'Cats last loss in the building was against Appalachian State Jan. 20, 2007.
• Davidson has won 30 straight Southern Conference regular season games and 37 of its last 38 dating back to Feb. 25, 2006.
• Davidson is off to its best start since the 'Cats went 11-1 to open the 1969-70 campaign.
• Chattanooga has not played since posting a 108-67 home victory over Tennessee Temple Nov. 29, a 13-day layoff.
• The Mocs played their first five games away from home and their first four contests were against Tennessee, Missouri, Memphis and Southern Cal.
• Today's game will be Chattanooga's third against a ranked opponent this season.

• Chattanooga leads the all-time series 31-18, but the Wildcats have won the last six.

• Davidson held on for a 78-71 win at McKenzie Arena in the last meeting.
Stephen Curry scored 24 and hit six key free throws late in the game.
Jason Richards tallied 15 points and six assists, and Will Archambault netted 14.

• Davidson is now 1-2 all-time in Time Warner Cable Arena with the losses coming to North Carolina and Duke last season and a win against NC?State this season.

Player of the Week
Stephen Curry earned a host of weekly honors after his performance in the Wildcats' 72-67 victory over NC State at Time Warner Cable Arena last Saturday.
• Curry was named the SoCon Player of the Week, the Collegehoops.net National Player of the Week, Andy Katz's National Player of the Week and Scout.com's Non-Big 6 Player of the Week.
• He matched a career high with 44 points on 15-of-33 shooting from the field, including 4 3-pointers, and 10-of-13 from the free-throw line. His point total tied the Time Warner Cable Arena record for a collegiate game.
