Justin King joined the Davidson athletic training staff in November 2018. He came to Davidson after spending two years at McNeese State University. At MSU, he worked with the men’s and women’s basketball programs, with direct responsibility for the men’s team and supervision of a graduate assistant over the women’s team.
 
Prior to his time at McNeese, Justin was an intern athletic trainer at The Ohio State University. There he was responsible for the OSU women’s track and field team. He was the primary athletic trainer for the Ohio State men’s and women’s teams at the 2016 NCAA Indoor National Championships.

In 2014, Justin started his collegiate career as an assistant athletic trainer at Fort Lewis College, where he worked with men’s basketball and men’s soccer. In addition to his athletic training responsibilities, he was a preceptor and an instructor in the FLC athletic training education program.

Justin received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in 2012 and a Master of Athletic Training degree from Weber State University in 2014.

Along with working at the collegiate level, Justin is part of the athletic trainer network for United States Soccer Federation. Most recently, he has provided support as the team athletic trainer for the U23 Women’s National Team and U16 Boy’s National Team, traveling to team camps and international tournaments in Norway and Czech Republic.
 
He also has past athletic training experience in professional arena football (AFL) and professional soccer (NASL). Since 2014, Justin has been an NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer, an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a certified EMT (2014-18).
