ELON, N.C. - Behind a strong performance at the net, Davidson took down Elon in four sets (25-14, 25-22, 20-25, 25-17) on Friday night. The Wildcats recorded 15 total blocks, which is the most in a match since Sept. 10, 2022.

Ngodoo Harris and Mia Compas each had six blocks to lead the 'Cats. Melanie Tilles added five blocks.

Davidson dominated the opening set on offense with a .368 hitting percentage. Meile Songaila and Elena Garcia-Guerrios both posted a team-high four kills in the frame.

In addition to strong blocking, Ngodoo Harris recorded five kills in the second set with a .444 hitting percentage. The 'Cats led two sets to zero.

After dropping the third set, Elena Garcia-Guerrios and Mia Compas provided a spark on offense in the fourth frame. Compas had four kills on just five swings and Garcia-Guerrios registered five kills with a .444 hitting percentage.

Garcia Guerrios finished with a team-high 17 kills. Brooke Briscoe wore the Libero jersey and logged a season-high 25 digs.

Kinsey Smith contributed with 18 assists. Ylame Dsamou had a season-high 23 assists.

The 'Cats also tied a season high with seven service aces.
