Dani Gariglio was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for External Relations & Operations at Davidson College in June 2026.
In this role, Gariglio coordinates athletic operations and external strategy for the department, leading the marketing, ticketing, and revenue generation division. She oversees the daily operations of Davidson’s athletic facilities, including the Game Changers FieldHouse, Davidson College Stadium, Carol Grotnes Belk Turf Field, and Wilson Field. Additionally, she provides sport oversight support for the Wildcats' lacrosse and field hockey programs.
Since joining the Davidson staff in 2020, Gariglio has served the department in several capacities. She most recently worked as the Assistant AD for Operations after serving as the Director of Creative Services. She began her time with the Wildcats as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications before being named Associate Director in July 2022.
During her time with the communications and creative teams, Gariglio managed publicity, content creation, and digital strategy for men's and women's basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and tennis. She also oversaw the department’s main social media channels and coordinated the athletic communications student-worker staff.
On a national level, Gariglio was recognized with the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Rising Star Award in January 2025. She was also named to CSC’s inaugural 30 Under 30 class for the 2022-23 academic year, the same year she was voted Davidson’s Support Staff Member of the Year by the athletic department.
Prior to her time at Davidson, Gariglio spent two years as a graduate assistant at Concordia University Chicago, serving as the primary media contact for the soccer, lacrosse, and men’s basketball programs. She also spent one year as an assistant at Union College (N.Y.).
A native of Long Island, Gariglio earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Rhode Island in 2017, where she was a four-year starter and team captain for the softball team. She later earned her MBA from Concordia Chicago in 2020. Gariglio currently lives in Davidson with her wife, Allison.
