Bio
Jakob has earned his starting job at left guard, demonstrating great technique and great results. His size is an obvious advantage, but he also has surprising quickness, enabling him to get in position to take opponents out of a play.
2006: Played in all 10 contests... began the campaign second on the depth chart but moved into the starting role for six-straight contests... made starts against San Diego, Jacksonville, Morehead State, Dayton, Valparaiso and Drake.
2005: Began season as a reserve, but moved into the starting lineup at left guard when Derrick Thompson went down with an injury … gave Wildcats consistent play and solid protection in his five starts … played in a total of nine games.
2004: Played as a reserve on the offensive line in seven games, particularly on kick attempts.
