Stephen Mandula, a sophomore who was on the Wildcats’ roster last season, is in his first season as a student assistant.
Mandula was a two-way starter for three years under coach Phil Hayford at Shorecrest Prepatory School. He was named first-team all-district as a junior and earned the Golden Helmet Coaches Award as a senior. He also won the State Farm Sportsmanship Award twice.
The son of Mark and Kathy, Mandula has two siblings, Christian and Jessica.
