Couey and Faulkner Lead ‘Cats in Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. – Led by sophomore Clayton Couey, the Davidson men's golf team opened their annual "Spring Break" trip Monday at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate hosted by USC Aiken.
Couey sits tied for 27th at three-over 143 (70-73) after 36 holes highlighted by an opening round even-par 70.
Classmate and 2025 A-10 Rookie of the Year, Nate Faulkner, is one back of Couey following rounds of 73 and 71, respectively.
Junior Davis Sayman recorded consecutive rounds of 73 and sits in the middle of the 75-player field.
Price Miller (+11) and Benjamin Newfield (+12) are also in the Davidson lineup.
The Wildcats will enter tomorrow's final round just a stroke out of the Top-10.
Tomorrow's final 18 holes will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
