ELON, N.C. – Davidson fell to Elon, 4-0, in non-conference action Sunday afternoon from the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
The Wildcats fall to 5-2 on the spring, while the Phoenix improve to 6-2.
"We played a very competitive match today and fought hard," said Davidson head coach Susanne Depka. "Elon was just a little better than us today. But we took some good lessons. We had some close matches and had chances in a lot of them. Hopefully we can see that what we are working on will pay off and continue to make us better and stronger each match."
Despite the match being played to decision, Davidson's Olivia Hooper was up 6-4, 5-3 on court six, while Charlotte Calderwood was in the third set with Lisa Kranec at No. 4.
