WASHINGTON — Four Davidson Wildcats — Eli Putnam, Cider Canon, Michael O'Shaughnessy and Jamie Daly — have earned Atlantic 10 Conference postseason baseball honors, the league office announced Wednesday morning.

Putnam, who plays second base, repeated as an A-10 First Team and All-Academic pick, while Canon, an outfielder, joined him on the A-10 First Team a year after being an All-Rookie Team selection. O'Shaughnessy earned a spot on the A-10 Second Team at third base, and Jamie Daly, an outfielder, is on the All-Rookie Team.

"All four guys being recognized are very deserving," said Davidson coach Rucker Taylor. "Each has had a huge impact on us this season and has contributed greatly in a variety of ways on and off the field. A couple of them have battled through some real injuries, and each has been consistent in their own way, which makes their seasons even more impressive."

In the 30-game conference season, Putnam hit .399 with a 1.269 OPS, 49 runs scored, 11 doubles, 15 home runs, 47 RBIs, 111 total bases and eight stolen bases. The redshirt junior from Cabin John, Md., just earned his degree in psychology.

Canon, a sophomore from San Marino, Calif., hit .390 in league play, with a 1.291 OPS, 44 runs, 13 doubles, three triples, 13 home runs, 37 RBIs, 111 total bases and five steals.

O'Shaughnessy, a junior from Delmar, N.Y., hit .412 against A-10 foes and posted a 1.367 OPS, including an .832 slugging percentage. He scored 36 runs, hit 14 doubles and 12 home runs, drove in 50 runs and tallied 99 total bases.

A freshman from Evans, Ga., Daly hit .353 with a 1.028 OPS, seven doubles, five home runs, 22 RBIs and 58 total bases.

The Wildcats continue play in the A-10 Tournament on Wednesday.
