Davidson Set to Host First Track & Field Meet in Two Decades

3/27/2025 2:45:00 PM | Men's Track & Field, Women's Track & Field

DAVIDSON, N.C. – It's been two decades since a track & field meet has been held on the Davidson College campus. That will change this Saturday, when the brand-new Lisa and Jeff Case Track & Field Complex hosts the 2025 Davidson Relays.

Opened in February, the track-only facility features an eight-lane resurfaced track, grass infield, new throws area, as well as newly renovated locker rooms for scholar-athletes and coaches.

"The commitment by Davidson College, the athletic department and the donors, particularly the Cases, speaks to the overwhelming support of our track & field program," said Director of Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Jen Straub. "This facility will enhance our ability to attract top scholar-athletes as we continue to build our program. I am profoundly grateful and am excited to host many meets in the future!"

17 teams and more than 700 competitors will take part in the inaugural event, which is set to begin at 8 a.m. with field events. Running events are scheduled for 11 a.m.

Davidson will recognize its 2025 senior class at 1:40 p.m.
