Millican Wins 800M at 49er Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Jocelyn Millican finished first in the 800 meters to lead the Davidson women's track and field team on the final day of the Charlotte 49er Classic.
A sophomore from Parker, Colo., Millican turned in a time of 2:14.85 to lead a field of 60 competitors.
Fellow distance runners, Abby Smith and Mary Shoop turned in solid performances in the 3000m with times of 10:25.72 and 10:39.86 to place third and fifth, respectively.
Ashley Rangel, who holds the indoor school record for the shot put, set the outdoor standard Saturday with a throw of 13.21m.
Lastly, Chris-Ann Nelson set a personal record in the 200m with a time of 25.52.

The Wildcats will return to action on March 29 in the return of the Davidson Relays, taking place on Davidson's campus at the new Lisa and Jeff Case Track & Field complex.
