CHARLOTTE - The Davidson women's tennis team extended its wins to four with a 5-1 victory at Queens Saturday morning.Â
The win puts the Wildcats' overall record at 4-1, awaiting its first Atlantic 10 contest this weekend.Â
"We did a great job again on court with discipline," said head coach Susanne Depka. "We made them work for their points. I'm excited to see how what we are working on in practices is translating to matches. I look forward to continuing to improve so we are ready for our first A-10 match next weekend."Â
Savanna Kollock and Bryson Langford earned the first win of the day for the 'Cats via 6-1 triumph in doubles on court two before Kavya Patel and Daniela Porges took the doubles team point with a hard fought 7-6(2) win at the No. 1 spot.Â
Langford and Ellie Hammond cruised to identical 6-1, 6-1 wins on courts two and three respectively to extend the Wildcats' advantage to 3-0. The Royals would go on to take what would be their lone point of the day in a 7-5, 7-5 win at position one, however, Ines Roti sealed the deal for the Wildcats with a 6-1, 6-2 victory on court four.Â
