
Dunn’s Double-Double Leads ‘Cats to Fourth Straight Win

DAYTON, Ohio – Charlise Dunn scored 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Davidson to a 61-51 victory over Dayton, Wednesday in front of 12,152 local students inside UD Arena on the Flyers' annual "School Day."
Winners of four straight, the Wildcats move to 14-11 overall and 9-4 in Atlantic 10 play.
In addition to her third career double-double, Dunn added a career-high four blocks to go with three steals in 40 minutes of action.
Millie Prior would grab a game-high 12 rebounds, while Katie Donovan finished with 10 points for Davidson, which forced 21 turnovers and held Dayton (13-11, 7-6 A-10) to just 35 percent shooting.
After the Wildcats pushed the margin to as many as 11, 49-38, on a Mallorie Haines triple with 7:45 to play, the Flyers responded with 10 straight to cut the deficit to three.
Clinging to a 49-46 advantage late in the fourth, Davidson answered with a spurt of its own to push the lead back to double digits.
Leading 15-14 after one, Davidson created a little separation early in the second quarter with a 10-2 spurt capped by 3-pointers from Dunn and Issy Morgan before going to the half in front, 31-24.
Arianna Smith paced Dayton with 10 points and 11 boards.
