Davidson Falls to Edinboro in Sunday Dual

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson College wrestling team fell to the Edinboro Fighting Scots in dual action, 30-10, at Belk Arena on Sunday afternoon.
No. 23 Tanner Peake, Bryce Griffin, and Marc Koch were the victorious Wildcats in the match. Peake defeated Ryan Michaels in an 8-2 decision to improve to 8-3 overall on the season. Griffin rebounded from a loss on Friday night with a dominant 14-6 major decision at 165 pounds, and Koch earned a 7-2 win over Brody Evans at 174 to move his record to 7-2 on the year.
At 149 pounds, Tyler-Xavier McKnight nearly pulled off an upset of #25/32 Ryan Burgos, but McKnight surrendered a four-point near fall with 50 seconds left in a back-and-forth 12-10 decision.

The Wildcats will be back in action next Sunday (Dec. 15) against American University at 2:00 p.m. inside Belk Arena.
